SINGAPORE : The People's Action Party (PAP) will be holding its 2005 awards ceremony on Saturday and Sunday at the Kallang Theatre.
Police announced on Thursday that they will be overseeing security and traffic arrangements for the event.
Both carriage-ways of Stadium Walk will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5pm to 12 midnight on November 5 and from 7am to 3pm on November 6.
Only vehicles displaying approved labels will be allowed into this closed road.
Police will also be conducting checks at the Kallang Theatre and around the vicinity.
A statement from the Police Public Affairs Department said the security measures were necessary in view of the current global security climate.
