SINGAPORE : Now you can have your say on whether you want barriers at pedestrian overhead bridges.
The Land Transport Authority had barriers, which were installed at the ends of bridges and underpasses, removed after an accident which left a 40-year-old cyclist paralysed in July.
Barriers were previously installed to encourage cyclists to dismount, following complaints that many would cycle along these bridges and underpasses at high speed.
It is currently reviewing the use of these barriers and want views from members of the public.
You can give your feedback between November 14 and November 25 at LTA website. - CNA/de
I am not sure about whether the n-shaped barriers that were dismantled were erected there in the first place by the request of the public for safety reason.
If it is so, then it is fair to obtain feedback on future uses of such barriers or not even put them up at all.
