I once knew this guy who refused to sing his JC's school anthem in the first three months he was there just because he believed that he 'belongs' to one of the top 5 JCs.
I have to disagree.I came from a 3 year CI, and when I saw substandard notes, I just went to do my own research at the Reference Libraries, online academic databases and journals to form up my own notes.Originally posted by Hengolobin:elite jc does make a difference. they have better teachers there, who give more attention and they tend to set better exam questions and better lecture notes. I'm from a not so good jc and i do feel the difference.
you gotta admit that not all students are self-motivated but rather depend on teachers to spoon feed them. in such cases, i guess the elite jcs are really more concerned in producing the straight As. so the environment does count. if not rj/hc wouldnt haf almost 3/4 of their popn getting straight As and the others having only a mere handful.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I have to disagree.I came from a 3 year CI, and when I saw substandard notes, I just went to do my own research at the Reference Libraries, online academic databases and journals to form up my own notes.
It's also the innate sense of motivation that factors in greatly.
