As I read the article that was published days back, those kar kia from JB dun need to be paid for risk (Meaning being caught by police authorities)...

I think the govt has done a very good job in shutting all the ah longs in singapore. Now they have to think twice before they want to be the "lenders" to the public, if they dun wish their properties to be confiscated.

Yet, the loan sharks just pack up by themselves -
now matter how, desperate borrowers will still go to ah long. These borrowers will look high and low for ah long, and i just hope they don't got to JB to look for them.
Also borrowers are also taking advantage of ah longs. The borrowers have all kinds of tricks to con ah longs and give them the roundabout.
The thing is to have licensed small time ah longs at much lower interests, not like current 20% interest a week.
