Then how do they explain the monopolised retail biz by govt related firms? -
Actually, I don't think there is anything wrong that the price of coffee in coffee shop going up. They too do business and also need to see profit, else how to maintain their living standard.
We just have to work hard a bit to earn the extra 10 cents for the cup of coffee that all. Or no sweet for the kids for a day or 2. Anyway, kids can't complaint and anyway sweet is no good for children, rite)

Actually with $3000 rent or even more, I wonder how many cups of Kopi or Tea or Milo they need to sell to cover everything incl wages and utilities

Could it be because coming together to set prices is anti-competitive behaviour and unfair to other coffeeshops?
