Easier electronic filing of tax returns this year

SINGAPORE : Singaporeans will find it easier to file tax returns electronically this year.
Submitting your returns via the web requires as little as two clicks of the mouse, compared to seven previously.
This is because the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has created a much neater layout with just two main forms to check and fill out.
Taxpayers can also expect a new feature this time round.
All relief claims such as for children and foreign maid levies will be pre-filled and listed clearly.
This year, 1.37 million people are required to submit their returns.
IRAS is targeting at least 80 percent to e-file via the internet or telephone.
Those filing their returns manually must do so by April 15, while those who e-file have up to April 18. - CNA/de -

In Malaysia, they force you, either you down to the Tax Dept or get a "qualified" accountant to fill the form
