Flooding in Singapore

Today Zao Bao reported that due to heavy rain yesterday afternoon, some roads in Bedok North was heavily flooded.
The article also come with pictures of the flooded area. Amazing, never knew Singapore also has floods. -

Bedok North and Bedok Reservoir's flooding came as a surprise
But Eunos and Still Rd areas are the usual flood prone areas -

the zao bao photo is a cabbie standing on the seat inside a bus shelter while his cab is submerged inside the flood while been interviewed by a female reporter, water level reaching her kneecap.

well cos you are living in high rised areas all your life.I have personally lived in such an area that is prone to flooding and have witness floods a few times.But that is like donkey years ago,think now the drainage in most areas are better.

Singapore has loads of low lying areas prone to floods, just they don't report it.
We've been digging so many tunnels, the island is sinking, but its kept hush hush or we'll all be rushing to get Oz PRs. -

Most of the drainage holes are choked up by a lot of rubbish and dead leafs...
Looks like a new job is needed to ensure all the drainage holes are not choked -
there's more to come. seems to be raining everyday now.
