H.H. Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche, also known as Penor Rinpoche, is an emanation of the great Indian Dzogchen adept Vimalamitra, who was born in 1932 in Eastern Tibet. He was brought to Palyul Monastery, the seat of his former incarnations and was enthroned as the incarnation of the 2nd Drubwang Penor Rinpoche and the 11th Throne-holder of Palyul Monastery at the age of five.
In 1959, he foresaw the irreversibility of the Chinese Occupation and decided to depart for India in order to keep the flame of Buddha Dharma burning brightly so that sentient beings would not plunge into the darkness and gloom of ignorance. Penor Rinpoche moved to Mysore, southern India, in 1961 together with 600 people and re-established the great Palyul Namdroling Monastery. This was by no means an easy task, as he had only a paltry sum of 300 rupees to rebuild his entire life and that of his monastery. Penor Rinpoche had, however, insurmountable hidden resources – his enormous courage and determination. The inexhaustible energy and commitment that Penor Rinpoche invested has borne him abundant fruits. Today, the Palyul Namdroling Monastery in India, with over 5000 monks and nuns, can be said to be the largest Nyingma monastery outside of Tibet.
Despite his commitments at Namdroling Monastery, Penor RinpocheÂ’s compassionate benevolence sees him tirelessly traveling around the world bestowing teachings and empowerments, conducting prayers and establishing Dharma Centres to benefit the local populace in India, the Himalayas, Asia and the West.
There is no limit to the extent of Penor RinpocheÂ’s selfless, enlightened activities and powerful miraculous deeds. His efforts for the doctrine and sentient beings are equal only to the limits of space. May his life be firm!

Lhoga Tulku Rinpoche
His Birth
where His Holiness's homeland lies in the cool regions of Kham, Eastern Tibet, in the Xin Long region, surrounded by snowy mountains.
when In the water-dragon year of the 16th Sixty-year cycle of the Tibetan Calendar, 1952, during the pre-dawn hours of the 25th day of the first month, a time for the gathering of the dakinis for the "tsog" offering, in a tent amongst the wilderness of the hills, there arises the auspiscious sign of the emission of great masses of light.
who His Holiness's father, the late Sang Dan Rong Zhen. His mother, Xi Rao Cuo. Both are members of the Zhu Qin clan in the Xin Long Region of Kham, Eastern Tibet.
what A baby was borned with special marks like rare tiger skin patterns to his waist, resembling a monk's robe... and a mole resembling an elephant's eye on his leg. The auspiscious occurances at the babyÂ’s birth symbolises that he would bring the light of the tantric teachings to the human realm of this samsaric world.
The baby was none other than the 84th supreme Head of the Kathok Nyingma Tradition -the Lord of Dharma, Lhoga Tulku Rinpoche.
15 days after the birth of His Holiness, Tulku Gensang Baiji Nima prophesied that His Holiness is the Wish-fulfilling Gem of the Dharma and that He would burst forth in absolute brilliance in all directions in the future, bringing great benefits to all sentient beings.
At the same time, this great master strongly blessed Lhoga Tulku Rinpoche and gave Him Refuge and Initiations. His Holiness is also bestowed the name of Lodro Tenpay Gyaltshen.
The Recognition and Enthronement of His Holiness
His Holiness was recognised at the age of 2 by Kathok Situ Rinpoche on the plains of the Gu Long Region of Kham. There was a perfect match of the names of the parents and the physical features of the child to that of the instructions given by the Dharma Protectors. Moreover, the child was able to recognise correctly the various personal objects belonging to his previous incarnation.
The recognition of His Holiness was also confirmed by Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Rinpoche.
As a result of these unmistakable signs, the child was confirmed as being the reincarnation of the late Khenchen Lekshek Choden of Kathok Monastery.
When Khenchen Jiang Yang Jian Can met Him, it was like the coming together of father and son. The child immediately held the hands of Khyentse Jiang Yang Jian Can, then packed his clothings by himself and wanted to leave with Khyentse Rinpoche.
At the age of 3, Lhoga Tulku Rinpoche was invited to return to Kathok Monastery. He was enthroned as the 2nd Khenchen Lekshek Choden Rinpoche at a grand enthronment ceremony.
