URGENT APPEAL (valid 8 Nov 04)
My mother is dying of acute liver failure. She needs a liver transplant in the next few days, or the doctors have advised removing the liver dialysis that is sustaining her at the moment.
My only hope now is if one of you, for purely compassionate and altruistic reasons, comes forward to donate part of your liver for my mother to have a chance at a new life.
The prospective donor must be of blood group O+, healthy in general, without a history of alcoholism, and below 55 years of age. There are risks involved in such a transplant.
