I have a bronze statue of the Buddha which I would like to put away for personal reasons. As it would be very disrespectful just to throw it away into the rubbish chute, I would like to seek advise on the proper way to put the statue away.
Do anyone know any Buddhist Temple in Singapore that can dispose the statue properly? Can I just give it away to one of the shops in Race Course Road / Fu Lu Shou or Chinatown selling Buddhist artifacts?
For your information, this statue is placed at a elevated height in my living room but it is not placed on an altar. It is not a statue that we place offerings or pray to, and is in the house more for decorative purpose all along.
Please advise. Many thanks in advance!

Hmm... I know proper disposal of degradeable things are by Burning them...
As for statues, I'm not too sure myself... Surely you cant burn a Bronze statue, I think you can try asking if anyone wants your bronze statue and you can pass it to them.

Maybe if you got neighbours who are Buddhists you can ask them.

BTW, is your statue full sized or half size (head only?)

Hi An Eternal Now,
The Buddha statue is full-sized. I have decided to follow Zacken's advice from HOFS forum and bring it to a temple. Thank you very much!
