With casualties over 55,000 as of now, and being the catastrophe that requires the most aid in history, I feel our heart should be united and try to contribute as much as we could to the casualties in this sad moment.
I pray for all victims of this terrible disaster.... and I wish those still injured, homless, affected in anyway be relieved from sufferings.
Death tolls now over 115,000 already. It is a very sad incidence. I think it all happen within minutes, in minutes, tens of thousands are gone. Hundreds of thousands. It is unexpected, uncertain, and impermanent. Time, was something they did not have. No chance to save themselves. We should all realize this impermanence and practice the dharma with... extra mindfulness.
And I sincerely hope that everyone of you can contribute what you can to those victims of the deadly Tsunami. The world needs our help now. It is a catastrophe that needs the most aid in history.

Life Is Uncertain
One day, Buddha questioned a number of his students,
"How long can a human life be certain?"
One of the students answered, "For a few days."
Buddha replied, "No, you have not yet understood life."
Buddha then repeated,
"How long can a human life be certain?"
Another student answered, "For a meal."
Again, Buddha replied, "No, you have not understood life either."
Buddha repeated one third time,
"How long can a human life be certain?"
A third student answered, "Only for a breath."
Buddha praised, "Great! You've started to understand life."
