what happened to me?

yesterday or say this morning, after my last duration doing duty at the sentry, i went back to sleep after handing over, and i was alone...
suddenly, while i was sleeping, i heard many voices (forgot what they said) and feels my body is totally can't be moved, i tried very hard to open my eyes...
my mind calling guan yin... after trying v hard, i finally can open my eyes slightly, but saw nothing, but i still can't move any part of my body... and i continued calling for guan yin, after around 15 mins, finally my body came back to senses...
it seems scary... am i having neuro or medical problem or what?
should i see a doctor? what should i do next time i encounter this problem again? -

I have experienced this quite a few times especially. I slept, and fell "asleep". Later on I came back to consciousness, I know I'm not dreaming, but I couldn't move at all. It became frustrating as time passes, you really want to "get control of your body", but you simply can't. In times like this, I would chant... and usually after chanting I can wake up very fast. But before chanting, I've already waited for don't know how long... I even had the experience of feeling like floating out of the body, while being aware of it (not dreaming), in sleep.
I think this is quite a common problem and many people would share the same experience. If you experience this again, try to remember not to panick, as this period of time will eventually pass. Try to stay calm and focus on the mind chanting. As for that you have heard voices, maybe some people really walked pass you and talked to each other. I'm not sure. Or you're still in a semi-consciousness state and memories get replayed in your mind although you still have certain level of conscioussness.
I don't think you have to see a doctor. Next time you sleep, sleep facing right side, and remember - don't put something on top of your body while you sleep. I've read that it can cause such problems in sleep... -
I've read from somewhere that one of the reasons could be that you're simply too tired, your "consciousness" wakes but your body didn't.

Amitabha literally means infinite brightness, infinite life and infinite merits. Indeed, it is the infinite of all good things.

And "Namo" means "I take refuge in..."
Namo Amitabha = I take refuge in Amitabha
Namo Shakyamuni Buddha = I take refuge in Shakyamuni Buddha

It might be a sleep disorder called "Sleep Paralysis". Some people snore, some people grind their teeth, and some people have Sleep Paralysis. It happens when you mind wakes up (& you are fully awake/conscious) but your body is still asleep. Thus, people think that they are being "pressed" by spirits or harrassed by petas.
I've had Sleep Paralysis for about 15 years now and I've learnt to deal with it without medical aid. When you find yourself in that situation, besides chanting Amituofo, Namo Tassa Bhagavato..., or whatever other chants, the main thing to remember is that you have to relax (which is what those chants help you to do). If you don't relax, you mind will not go back to "sleep" mode. If your mind does not go back to "sleep" mode, it cannot synchronize with your body to wake up.
