His Holiness Sakyong Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche is the head of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and the tulku incarnation of Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, one of the most well-known and revered teachers in Tibetan history. His Holiness is the holder of the Mukpo family lineage extending from King Gesar of Ling. He is the son and successor of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, who was the supreme abbot of the Surmang Kagyu monasteries in Tibet and is regarded as one of the pivotal teachers in bringing Buddhism to the west. His Holiness teaches and travels extensively in North America, Europe, India and Tibet. This spring His Holiness will be teaching in East Asia for the first time. He will be traveling to Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong where he will be giving teachings and empowerments. His Holiness oversees Shambhala International, one of the largest Buddhist organizations in the west, with close to two hundred meditation centers worldwide. Born in India at the site of the BuddhaÂ’s enlightenment, His Holiness is unique in that he has received a Buddhist as well as a western education. He has studied under many great teachers including the Vidyadhara the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and HH Penor Rinpoche. His HolinessÂ’ book Turning the Mind into an Ally has helped many westerners by bringing the wisdom of meditation into modern language and introducing them to the practice of meditation within their busy lives. It has become a national bestseller, has been translated into several European languages, and is now available in a new Chinese edition.

This is a terma discovered by the 11th Dzhongpa Rinpoche. It is a one of the most rare Dharma Gem in this age of degeneration. All the above activities will be held in Zurmang Kagyud Buddhist Centre, Singapore. The teachings and initiation will primarily be in English. Admission is free.
