experience of Emptiness in modern life ...

To those who don't get a hang about the buddhist view of emptiness -
Emptiness is not a philosophy. It is not abstract theory (like I thought it was before I had a direct perception 2 years back). It is beyond any conceptual comprehension, words and understanding and could be directly experienced in life.
When we get insulted, we get all the bad things in life, we must relise that it is all conditioned arisings. It is not real - everything that exists in our world is not real. Conditioned arisings - we take a watermelon for example. In the very beginning there was no watermelon - due to the seeds, the water, the nutrients in the soil, the watermelon was grown. So it is Conditioned Arisings. The watermelon does not exist with an inherent existence. And it isnt permanent. When the Tsunami came, people died after being carried by a wave. It's just so impermanent, merely an instant for thousands of people to die. A start with an end, thats the nature of conditioned things.
If everything bad happens in life, we must recognise that it is merely conditioned arisings. When we have this correct view, our mind does not become attached to them. That is why Buddhists always say "Shui Yuan", we dont become attached to them. However we shouldn't presume that "all forms are empty", and therefore you are "empty", I am "empty", so we don't care about anything. This is also wrong. Since all things results from aggregations of cause and conditions we must make good use of these causes and conditions, but not become attached to them.
