I'm glad everything turned out all right. Besides professional counseling, what you can do to help is to chant Da Bei water and spread it in and around your house especially your brotherÂ’s room.
In case you donÂ’t know how to chant it. You can download and play the sound file here and chant along while holding a small bottle of mineral water just in front of your chest. I think itÂ’s better to chant at least 60 times. If you donÂ’t like others to know that youÂ’re spreading the water. You can drill a tiny hole on the cap of the bottle. Then just walk around and squeeze it out. -

Hi, I'm very glad for you and your brother. Yes, I think he needs some counselling. Please tell your brother that commit suicide will not solve anything. He will discover that his consciousness will still be around even after he had commit suicide. So that is just a waste of time.
And it has been found that people that commit suicide in previous lifes, will be tempted to do that again. But each time nothing gets solved.
He has to solve his issues.

I was told that my master is back to Vajradhatu(jin1 gang1 jie4) now. Well, he was one of the few gurus who can trasmmit his heart. I believe you'd sensed his An-Hsiang when you listened to his speach. Shan4 zai1! Shan4 zai1! -

And I've heard about your master for long, he is very famous in Taiwan. They even own a TV channel here. I watch it sometimes too. Even though Pure land and Ch'an are different approaches, but I still can find a lot in common. AMTF. -
I FULLY agree with you! There is a Buddhist saying that if you commit suicide, you will commit suicide for 7 lives. I think sometimes its more than that, and sometimes with bad thoughts in mind he may have to fall into lower realms.

Me too In fact I believe all the sects have a lot in common, since it is Buddhadharma, just a different door to the same ultimate objective: Buddhahood. -
When we are desperate, we are vulnerable to evil spirit. For those who did commit suicide, there was a possibility that they were influenced by evil spirit.
If they are not able to chant Na Mo A Mi Tuo Fo or Gun Shi Yin Pu Sa whey they are desperate, then we could chant Da Bei water for them and spread the water around.
