What's Mahaprajna?

Mahaprajna is not something you can learn from outside, itÂ’s original, itÂ’s with life. No Mahaprajna, no life. When your mind stops, it reveals. But itÂ’s not the result of suppression, it cannot be forced, and itÂ’s very difficult to be described.
Does Mahaprajna discriminate? Now I am speaking here, I can assure you that there is absolutely no discriminating involved. It means one can speak, eat and write without discriminating. This is the great wisdom where there is no limit. This is what the ChÂ’anÂ’s Oneness means. Being completely one with the universe. If we practice Buddhadharma without the revealing of Mahaprajna, then itÂ’s not the true Buddhadharma. No matter how hard we practice, we will not be on the right track until we die. "ItÂ’s useless to learn Buddhadharma if one doesnÂ’t know the true mind." Mahaprajna is the true mind, itÂ’s with our lives, itÂ’s our true mind.

Chinese Zen Master -
i think from what i learn recently, it's better to use the word 'ch'an' for chinese and 'zen' for japanese. Although i have no differentiation and that they both come from one source. however Japanese Zen and Chinese Ch'an got different due to different in traditions.Originally posted by An Eternal Now:- Hui-Neng

I think next time I'll call them Dhyana masters, since Dhyana is the original sanskrit word for Ch'an and Zen
Anyway I think don't need to differentiate them so much, because they are also from the same lineage after all. -

Dhyana :
The seventh element in the path of classical Yoga, meaning meditation. It is equivalent to Zen and Ch'an, which are transliterations of dhyana. Also, more specifically, the four form concentrations and the four formless concentrations.
They offen use Ch'an with Ting4(samathi/concentrated). That say outside don't cling to form is Ch'an. Inside don't move the heart/mind is Ting4.
