okay , read and realised it for yourself , thats simpleOriginally posted by marcteng:Hi,
I am new to the forum, just created an account here just now.
There are some books that are interesting to beginners, like 101 questions on Buddhism or 101 questions on Guan Shi Yin Pusa.
Books written by Dr K Sri Dhammananda like anxiety and worries are good read, as they deal with the twin evils of worry and anxiety in everyday lives.
These twin evils made us look older than we are if we are to worry about small unimportant and important matters daily.
To use science to explain, when we worry or are angry, we release chemicals to the body (forgot the term), but when we are happy or singing ktv, we are releasing endorphins (dunno correct or not), or when we made love, we releases oxytocins to the body, thats why we feel great after love session isn't it.
So everyday we are releasing a lot of bad chemicals or poisons to our body when we are angry, worried, frustrated, sad etc.
This is the nature of this world, where we humans experience happiness and sufferings.
Another thing I wanna add is because we tend to read a lot on buddhism, we may begin to think we know alot and thus mistook that for wisdom. That may help , but its actually said and realised by the Buddha and some masters, not our own wisdom.
Above statement, I tend to agree. Buddha taught about no-self and we can agree with the explaination but the moment someone tell you that our house ha been burnt down, you would be shocked, angry, frustated, dissapointed etc..... Why? Because we only understand the words but not the meaning.Originally posted by marcteng:Hi,

Erm, this need to be corrected. Will post a topic.Originally posted by LinYu:Buddha taught about no-self![]()
