throughout history , we found that silly people desecrate Buddha image and destroy teachings ,and hoping to destroy the faith in the people
as what have happen when the muslim conquerors came to northern India ,but Wise Muslim ruler like Akbhar from the Mogul withold this destruction ,seeing it as unnoble act in their territorial conquest for Allah
well, the taliban thinks they are destroying the Buddha image , just like it takes years to finish that Bamiyan Buddha , the karmic impact is great when they could just use dynamite to destroy it in hours .
i think this serve as a lesson to all who ever think of trampling other ppl icons of faith
and becos of their years of tyranny , taliban faces the onslaught by American to their refusal to let America check its terrorist hotbed activity
the past Muslim ruler have been wise , instead of destroying Buddha image at the silk road ,why not make it a reminder to those theft to reflect b4 they decided to rob

i think when one destroy such a holy image ,the value of goodness is gone when that person resort to that
becos the role model of his true (Buddha ) nature is gone ,and he will experience more struggle with the darkness of his same wavelength group of people
