  Vairocana , aka Bi ru zhe na ,is the Dharmadhatu emanation of Buddha Sakyamuni (correct me if i am wrong ,posting at this time )
  
  the main school of practice is the True Word School or the Zhen yan zong
  aka Eastern Esoteric Buddhism of Japan
  
  it is very popular practice during the tang dynasty
  
  the main difference of zhen yan (shingon ) and tibetan is zhen yan do not require dakini practice , more on mantra chanting and visualisation
