birth rituals

I am currently doing a research on how foods are related to birth. I can't find anything useful on the Net.
How are foods related to birth, meaning what foods they avoid, what food they eat (both before and after the birth of baby)? Is there any difference between the Buddhists and Taoists? Is there anyone whom I can ask? I am thinking of asking my school servants as I think they know more because they come from a more traditional generation. -
The Earth Store Sutra or Ksitigarbharaja Sutra did mentioned about this clearly.

"Di Zhang Pu Za Ben Yuan Jing" - Earth Store Sutra.
I have not completely to the reading in English for the mention URL, but I used to do "Di Zhang Pu Za Ben Yuan Jing" recitation in the past.
I can remember about this two:
1. Sincerely/wholeheartedly recite Ksitigarbharaja Bodhisattva's name for 10000 times.
2. Do not kill or cause harm to other sentent beings by eating meat/organs. Because it produces negative energies.

Anyway to the topic starter... Buddhism does not emphasize or have many rituals... It's the Taoists that do that or emphasize more on rituals. -
