The Buddhist explanation for the legends of this world(BELW)

I was thinking on the relevance of this topics when I watching Lord of the Rings
Well ,Here I am
I decided to offer some explanation to forumites abt the similarity of the Lord of the Rings trilogy ,Matrix , The Sunken Atlantis and many more to come
The story of JRR Tolkien which tolds about the Evil Ring of the Darkness being found , the ardous journey by the fellowship to destroy the Ring , particularly Frodo adventure
and the exit of the Elves people and the Final Dominion of Mankind
In a Buddhist sutra(I forgot the name of the Sutra) which was also taught by my venerable ,we originate from the Light Sound heaven which we were once fairies ,the disaster of the heaven cause us to come down to Planet Earth to live .
In the beginning ,we fly about in the country , until fairies consume a certain plants that grows on the Earth ,it cause us to be heavier and thus we are bound by gravity
Next ,fairies see thing in a monotonous grey ,however when frequently consumed the earth plants , the sense of colour was aroused
Then there was no sexual differentiation ,but when they start to differentiate the sexes , there comes relationship and couples build houses to stay in private from the community , thus become the growth of housing needs
and as insufficient supply of food arise due to natural disaster , people start to fight and enmity arises
Just remember about the title ...it is called in chinese Qi shi jing
All this is recorded in the sutra , none of them is fabrication of my imagination
it is akin to the Elves people who lives in the Rivendell and Lothlorien and some wander in the woods which slowly becomes human
About the Elves leaving for the West after their times up in Middle kingdom, actually does symbolise the west is the ultimate destination one takes
Okay , I not going to pinpoint or favour the western or eastern Pureland , it is just a metaphorical example on the Norwegian/Finnish culture JRR Tolkien is based on
so anyone have any comments on this ....

from what i know, the light sound beings have bodies of light and had a consciousness that do not see each other as individuals.
Certain transmissions that i recieved seems to imply that the entire planet is re-evolving towards similar body forms... but it will take thousands of years... the entire planet is slowly evolving toward heaven realm status.
If I am interpretating it correctly, it should be about 1800 years after we enter a new era. When this new era starts I am not sure either... but it should be within this 200 years.
Whether all the beings then are fully enlightened or not... i am not too sure either. -

No, I am not sure. There is no way for transmissions to be 100% accurate... they are always subjected to the accuracy(or lack of it) of my own interpretations.Originally posted by marcteng:are you sure?

Buddha never say it.
What i am very sure of is planetary changes. Only a very indifferent person will not notice the changes. ..look at the weather nowadays... and tsunami and earthquakes...I am also very sure that these earth changes will continue for quite sometime.
One thing i did notice about Sgforum ( in general) is that the vibration is too discordant to get any serious work done here. But this Buddhist forum is actually faring very well considering this kind of environment!
Sgforum actually reflects a segment of the vibration of our nation as well. -

I don't think I got any kind of special protection. But for a person who is enlightened who is definitely not me and out of compassion wishes to liberate sentient beings, there will be a lot of dharma protectors helping him out.
Also, Namelessness suggested its possible to change the forum energy... he also cld 'feel' if the forum energy is polluted.. -

The reasons you gave above are not convincing. Dun try to predict the future because it is never accurate. you know those economists trying to predict the economy for next year and is never ever spot on.
Anyway this are all speculation and is not concerned with the Dhamma and liberation. -

but also free your mind of preconcieved ideas/concepts too... or we will forever remain within conceptualisation too.... never be able to go beyond the grip of the relative. -

What i am implying is that there are dynamics within the universe that are too complex for our human mind...so i think we should not cut short the understanding just because it is not within our expereince.

Of course the legend of Atlantis invoke a idea of Wiccan and Pagan fever at a time ,perhaps it is thought to be like a mysterious land
Perhaps its inspire an idea land known as utopia
many adventurer in the past writes of a hill-locked place in tibet which is known as shangri-la .....

According to the scriptures, the first humans that appeared were Devas from one of the heavens of form, the Abhassara heaven. Millions of years ago, when there were no humans on Earth yet, a group of devas descended down from the Abhassara to explore this land. During this time some of them ate & developed a craving for a naturally abundant crop down here. But after having ate this earthly food their subtle bodies became coarse & heavy, & they were no longer able to fly back to their heavenly abodes; so they had no choice but to stay on earth as humans. From this group those with stronger craving became females & those with lesser became males. With males & females, they started to reproduce & populate the Earth. Those other devas whose good karma were exhausted like them were also reborn down here as humans.
U ask why the human population keep increasing, since each being had only one consciousness. U must have forgotten that besides the human realm there are also beings from the Deva, Asura, Animal, Ghost & Hell realms. U also forget that our Jambudiva world is not the only world in the universe. Humans who do enough good karma get to be reborn as a deva, but this is a small number as compared to devas who used up their good karma & be reborn as humans. Those beings in the lower realms who have exhausted their bad karma were also reborn as humans, but this is also a relatively small number compared to humans who fall into those realms. Why is that so? Simply bcos the upward climb to the higher realms is always more difficult than the downward descend into the lower realms. That's why there are much more animals than humans.
Also considering the fact that beings from other worlds who share collective karma with the beings in this world get reborn here as well, so the number of people on earth can only go up!
