What will happen to people who don't believe in Buddhism?

From a buddhist's point of view, there is the karma. As long as you "get out" of it, you will not suffer anymore. Whether or not they will go to hell I don't know. What will happen to them I don't know. -
When ONE do not find his way out of SAMSARA. His/Her lives (past present and future) will be dictated by own's karma. In buddhist context, this apply to all sentient beings, regardless whether this person is a Buddhist or not.
Whether someone will go to hell or not, really depends on his/her own karmic seed and conditions. Karmic consequence can span across many lifetimes. Because of our karma, we were borned very much different.

There are some from heaven to earth. from hell to earth, from animals to humans, from ghost to humans and vice versa. When the karma exhausted in the realms, all will have to leave and directed to a new realm dictate by the karmic actions performed in the past. (Energies cannot be created or destroyed, but they can change from ONE state to another)
In Buddhism context, all realms(incl heaven and hell) are not ever lasting as sentient beings have a living period determined by their karma resource capacity. Once exhausted, they will have to leave.
Rebirth/Re-incarnation is becomingly an interesting research topic in the west. Do a search at Amazon.com you'll get to see some interesting books. Very frequently, they used hypnosis to recollect memories from past lives and after verifications they were found to be true. They are not Buddhists.
Somewhere in other post there is an article by British-Australia Monk Ajahn Brahm about "What is Buddhism". The article also mentioned about ReBirth and it is very interesting.
