One reason people from pureland came to our world is to save us as bodhisatva. -
Amitabha pureland is indeed a very special dharma door for people who want to liberate in a short time.
Sakyamuni buddha has in his entire lifetime teach on 2 sutras to his disciple without being asked for, one of them is Amitabha sutra. Hence, it shows how important is this sutra.
The budda praised amitabha buddha on the western pureland and encourage his disciple to go there and practise.
Until now, almost all buddhist know who is amitabha buddha, but many buddhist do not know who is sakyamuni buddha. -

Also called the Larger Amitabha Sutra
as I feel that Ananda only saw Buddha radiant and luminosity and enquire that is Buddha thinking of BUddha of Past aeons or future aeons
in fact Ananda did not fathom Buddha is going to preach on the whole 48 vows of Amitabha and how Fa zang bhikkhu(Dharmacara Bhikkhu) vowed in front of King of Shi zi zai Tathagatha Buddha and become Amitabha

Di Zhang Pu Sa Sutra is magnificant, because it is the fundamental of Buddhism. This Sutra articulates a complete relationship about us and our universe. It is really spectacular and amazing.

Buddha first asked Manjusri bodhisatva whether he knows the number of bodhisatva, mahasatva, deva, dragon and dharma protector who were there for the dharma talk. Then buddha explained that there are countless of them who were saved and guided by Di Zhang bodhisatva in the past aeons.
