Will the soul leaves one when one meditate

Throughout the years , there have been many ppl who experience such out-of-the body experience when they meditate .
Here as a science -inspired , I wish to brought forward this area many interested in
there are many possible reasons which we wont be able why out-of-body experience to see the reasons due to our limitation of the naked eyes .
the karma of that person is one of them
next,some refers to that as soul leaving the body.I would like to said there is no soul(permanent self) in Buddhism ,all thoughts are ever-changing even to the point of the snap of a finger
there are many factors to this
- some people have practise certain kind of meditation which allows them to have their consciousness leave their body,which is NOT allowed in Buddhism
- some people have certain Jhanic ability in the past to separate consciousness for a short while from the body
the discussion of this is to brought forward other similar idea which will by near death experience in the next discussion -
the last thought of one is the deciding factor when one approach death
this is nothing to be TABOO to mention here , and for all to know
it is said in the Buddha teachings , the 4 elements of earth, wind ,fire and water will dissolve and conflict with each other
and the person will experience slower heartbeat
he will have hallucination from the woeful spirit
at the same time his mind will start to rewind and
slow down at events in his/her life that is great merit in life /great bad deeds in life
then it will continue to rewind until he/she reaches back to the visualisation of a womb
that is why Buddhism of ALL schools encourage ppl to "support" the dying by reciting Buddha name , sutta to remind ones of the merit of one in the Triple Gem and thus a better rebirth -
I suggest that it probably not the soul, but the conciousness. At least one person who I knew have such an experience.

Would like to ask here on behalf of a friend. He experienced dry lips (sometimes, even ulcers on) each time he finish meditating. Would any seniors here be able to advice on the reason behind and how to overcome?
Back to the topic, I was told by my masters that when u experience supernatural situation during meditation, don't hang on to the feeling, just let go and back to the mindfulness stage.
Of course, I very much like to hear from those who have experienced out of body experience, (ie. how does it feel like and how to deal with it). -

Like neutral_onliner said, there is technically no soul in Buddhism.
But there is such thing as a rebirth-consciousness, and sometimes we just call it 'soul', but technically there really is no continual entity called soul or self. -

I have no such experience, but according to a friend who practise mediation and had one such convincing experience that the body and mind are not one.
He claimed that the feeling was good. That he can see his own body and he is on top. There is no sense of touch, no breathing. It is just very calm and at peace. Cannot be describe unless we can experience for it ourselve.Originally posted by coolbluewater:

According to Ajahn Brahm, there are now many records of out of body experiences and experiments in the west.

But if he is a Maha Bodhisattva, we say he 'manifest' - in the sense that maha bodhisattvas can choose where to be reborn in order to benefits sentient beings.
If he is still not at that stage, then he is reborn. There is nobody 'reincarnated' according to Buddhism. -
Reincarnation/Rebirth is actually an important belief for Buddhist. It is infact one of the most important. Because "Cause" and "Effect" (Karmic seeds and consequences) can span across not one but many lifetimes.
