illness and karma

noted from what i learn from Master Hai Tao. To sum up.
There are five casues of illness smaller zhiguan. 1st and 2nd regards to body, while the last 2 regards to mind.
1) inconsistence of 4 abstract elements (wind, fire, water, earth)
2) inconsistence of 5 inner organ
3) disturb by ghosts/spirits
4) conditioning of karma
There are 6 in the muohe zhiguan.
1) inconsistence of 4 abstract elements
2) inconsistence of taking food
3) inconsistence of mediation/destressing
4) disturb by ghosts/spirits
5) mara disturb
6) conditioning of karma
Killing cause liver & eyes illness.
Intoxication cause heart & mouth illness.
Lust cause kidney & ear illness.
Unwholesome Speech cause spleen & tougue illness.
Stealing cause lung & nose illness.
Also if disturb other cultivate spiritual mediataion or praying, cause craziness.

Dont do crimes and try to justify oneself

We know what it is like to feel miserable, and that is exactly how others feel when they are experiencing the results of their own destructive actions. Out of empathy and compassion, we should definitely help. Though others created the causes to experience their difficulties, maybe they also created the causes to receive help from us! We are all alike in wanting happiness and trying to avoid pain. It does not matter whose pain or problem it is - we should try to relieve it. For example, to think, "The poor are poor because of their own past lives' miserliness. I would be interfering with their karma if I tried to help," is a cruel misconception. We should never rationalize our own laziness, apathy or smugness by misinterpreting cause and effect. oh itÂ’s those illness that even doctors had no idea or cure. becos thereÂ’re spirit deptors (yuan1 qing1 zai4 zu3) from our previous unwholesome deeds, who want vengeance, be it to take oneÂ’s life or cause one to suffer. in a way itÂ’s the conditioning of past karma.
i follow mostly Master Chin Kung. His master is Mr Li Bin Nan, a disciple of 13th Pureland Patriarch Yin Guang.

People, do you know the various types and kinds of kamma?
Nothing will happen without a cause or reason, you do not get chronic sickness or rich or poor for no reasons, bear that in mind.
Kamma got long term, short term and medium term kamma.
You might not have done the bad deed in your previous life, but what abt your many many previous existences. Kamma might not reap immediately as in next life, can be subsequent lives later on.
Who is to say you have killed a man in your 500 lifetime ago and the kamma ripens only in this life.
Only a Buddha, Maha Bodhisattvas and an arahants can understand the workings of kamma. Kamma is not easily understood, in fact it is abstract. -

Just my view here. Buddhism is not about accepting the teaching wholeheartedly, and Buddha encourages us to question, investigate and experience it for ourselves. I'm not saying that you have to commit the sin now to see if you get the kind of karma. Anyway, it's a quote by Venerable Hai Tao, so you may wish to bring this question to him directly when he next visits Singapore. Why do u say devil as in debtors of the past? Do dead humans come back as demons to torment someone? Since u don't believe in God, that means u don't believe in a real devil as well right? The Buddha pointed out that no God or priest nor any other kind of being has the power to interfere in the working out of someone else's Kamma. Buddhism, therefore, teaches the individual to take full responsibility for themselves. For example, if you want to be wealthy then be trustworthy, diligent and frugal, . The nature of samsaric evolution is not such that death is followed by
nothingness, nor that humans are always reborn as humans and insects as
insects. On the contrary, we all carry within us the karmic potencies of all
realms of cyclic existence. Many beings transmigrate from higher to lower
realms, others from lower to higher. The selection of a place of rebirth is
not directly in our own hands but is conditioned by our karma and delusions.
They who possess spiritual understanding can control their destiny at the
time of death, but for ordinary beings the process is very much an automatic
chain reaction of karmic seeds and habitual psychic response patterns....
Our repeated experience of frustration, dissatisfaction and misery does not
have external conditions as its root cause. The problem is mainly our lack
of spiritual development. As a result of this handicap, the mind is
controlled principally by afflicted emotions and illusions. Attachment,
aversion and ignorance rather than a free spirit, love and wisdom are the
guiding forces. Recognizing this simple truth is the beginning of the
spiritual path.
