excuse me for this post, but i would like to say something....
when we practice, we cannot have the mindset of thinking "i have the best master to guide me, my master is the "master" of masters....".
then sorry to say this - one has flung in his/her practice when one holds such egoistic thinking.
one shall progress in practice when one guides others with no judgement or discrimination.
i have come across many who are not genuinely on the path but pretends to be in the path. i also come across some who are arrogant in the path. i have also seen some who go after fame and power in the path.
sadly, the cycle still cannot be stopped untill all these have stopped. thus, one will go on to live a thousand times or more untill one has reached, eventually.
let go of that mind that clings habitually. let the still mind with "no magnets" flow. -
like others who are still searching for their root guru, i was still searching.
but my root guru have always been right in front of me and i have never took notice of. i honour the teachings of all ethical and orthodox masters.
i have a root guru, each one of us do.
my root guru is the dharma and my inner buddha-nature. -
Yes. We all need an external guru, to help us realise the nature of ourselves which is the 'inner guru'. Which is called the practise of Guru Yoga, which is to Merge the mind with the Guru's. it is as if it penetrate into the deepest depth of anything that comes into contact.
discussion of thoughts, symbols...etc becomes secondary and unimportant.
it is what that fuses him/her at that moment.
