On the topic of your dharma from Australia.
I am trying to locate a Female caucasian Buddhist monk with a english accent.
Was in a hit & run accident in July 2004.
She was the first person I came to, instead of being run down by cars.
Apparently, she and her driver, a chinese male stopped the car where I had fallen and blocked further oncoming traffic.
Any idea who she was? -

I didnt liked the hypocrisy in Churches Cell Groups.
And I didnt like the turmoils at home.
Turned to Buddhism as I find it the most peaceful and logical self disciplined beliefs.
As some folks will suggest about miracles that leads to faith.
Mine was somewhat similiar. A fashional accessory of a silver chinese word 'Fuor' pandent. To remind myself that I am buddhist.
A road traffic accident where I was helped by a Buddist lady, which at that time, I didnt realise she was in tibetian monk clothing. She left once I was safely on the other side of the road.
No one really saw her, they tot she was a he.
I never saw her clothing, just heard her voice, saw a caucasian lady with a shaven head.
My watch was broken, my clothes was all torned, Most of my jewelleries was lost at the hospital after the x-ray.
the only remained was my pandent, on a broken chain. -

She must be a very kind nun Perhaps you should have asked her name and monastery.. Anyway I think all Buddhists should learn to be like her.. not only is it part of our practise, it can give ppl a gd impression of Buddhism too. -

Wanted to be a nun. Except my friends arent approving of that happening.
Insist that I can maybe be a nun for 3 months at a retreat, and then to come back to the real world.
And was told, that nuns can only be a nun once in their lives. Men however can be a monk (in a retreat) again and again.
So I am stucked....I dont want to waste my nun chance too ficklely.
And yah...i do believe I am not totally ready to become a nun permanantly yet.
Is there a retreat that I can attend to learn intensively about buddhism? -

Guys, I will be leaving for China between 24/12/06 to 2/1/07. I will be leaving in a early morning flight. I will be going to several places like Jiu Zhai Gou, Chengdu, and surrounding places, even Mt Emei (Pu Sien Pu Sa's mountain). That will be third pilgrimage mountain I have visited! (I have previously visited Jiu Hua Shan and Pu Tuo Shan, which are the mountains of Ksitigarbha-Di Zhang Wang and Avalokitesvara-Guan Shi Yin respectively, you can find the photos in this topic)
I will share some photos when I am back. Hopefully in between this period of time, there is no arguments, no troubles, just peaceful discussions. I also hope more people can participate in the discussions or debates when I am not around. (two days ago I actually replied non-stop for like 50 posts for a few hours.. someone must substitute my job!!) -
