I'm currently halfway through Zen Master Huang Po's 'The Dharma of Mind Transmission'... reading the traditional Chinese text from 'Ren Cheng Pu Sa Dao' while refering time to time to the English translation (http://www.abuddhistlibrary.com/Buddhism/C%20-%20Zen/Ancestors/The%20Zen%20Teachings%20of%20Huang%20Po/Zen%20Teachings%20of%20Huang-po.htm)
But the translation is quite inadequate and at certain instances quite inaccurate... There are far better translations such as this one: www.amazon.com/Zen-Teaching-Huang-Po-Transmission-Mind/dp/0802150926
Might want to get that when I get to a major bookstore like kinokuniya.
p.s. just found out that Zen Master Huang Po is actually Zen Master Rinzai/Linji's Master. Wouldn't be surprised though, cos the teachings are very direct... taste of the sudden school. -
I have purchased a much more complete and accurate book (the amazon one) from Kinokuniya at $23.84. There is one more copy left there. Really good translation.. Apart from that, I also purchased 'The Sutra of Hui-Neng: Grand Master of Zen' translation by Thomas Cleary, $20 ($22.20 without membership) from Evergreen Buddhist Cultural Service, also containing Hui-neng's Commentary on the Diamond Sutra (this is the main factor why I bought this book as I can't find the commentary's translation on the net)

I have also ordered a book (out of stock) called 'The Crystal and the Way of Light' by Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, this is a Dzogchen book and is not found in my 'Ren Cheng Pu Sa Dao', I ordered it due to my interest to find out more about the Dzogchen teachings.
Apart from that, I have not purchased the translations of the other contents of Ren Cheng Pu Sa Dao, as their translations can already be found on the net (such as the Heart Sutra which the words are already quite simple in Chinese, The Sutra of Complete Enlightenment, Ch'an Master Hui Hua's The Zen Teaching of Instantaneous Awakening)
However, I am unable to find the English translation for the Buddhapitakaduhsilanirgraha Sutra (Fo2 Zhang4 Jing1), and so I'll just stay put with the Chinese version found in my Ren Cheng Pu Sa Dao. (It is also available on the net in Chinese: http://www.zjfj.org/newsinfo/cultrue/cjg/2006_7_19_1435199527.html) This sutra contains an important series of contemplative practices for a Dharma practitioner.

Anyone felt the quake just now?
Seems like what Isis told me from Ven Mahinda predicted is true...
Some more nowadays so many earthquakes and natural disasters around... so true... never seen such disasters happening so actively.. fourfold is not an exaggeration.
Lucky most of the time we're blocked by Indonesia so unaffected by Tsunami.. this time as well.. but not necessarily have to be like that. If a Tsunami comes, damges incurred will be very severe. -
my family members felt the tremor from their rooms and ran out like panic asking one another if anyone else felt it. strangely i never felt a single thing and what more we are all in the same house. how come i don't feel?! i live in woodlands. and yeah lately earthquakes have been rather very active than usual... i ever thought that nothing is permanently safe or peaceful especially even when comes to geographically positioned after seeing the huge damage and motification the last tragic tsunami caused in 2004 december...

in times of calamities and agonising tragedies, the suffering victims and the rest of the world come together as one big family, providing relief, help, restoration, charity and comfort or console...
it is inevitable at times.
whether for preparation or facing in times of real disasters, anyone may reach out and do a little something. i just googled a few sites to share.

Ven Mahinda didn't really predict that there will be a tsunami or earthquake He did warn us about the likelihood of a upcoming disaster that could affect the entire world. To learn first-aid, simple survival skills.
To practice the Dharma so as to purify the evil karmic seeds such as greed, hatred etc. Not becos we believe that there will be a probable crisis but also for our own cultivation.

Venerable Mahinda didn't predict the current earthquake. He did advise us to work hard in purifying bad karma and be vigilance in case of any crisis.. learning first aid skills are life skill.. practical and realistic. He did give us a realistic view that natural disaster is increasing 4folds.
Nevertheless, pls ignore this if you don't believe in it.
