What is the real self? Our Original Nature is our real self. It depends on the body temporarily; the body is not different from a house. A house is completed and then gradually deteriorates; similarly, the body has birth and death and the part in between. Our True Nature (real self), on the other hand, has neither birth nor death. It is enduring and unchanging. The teaching of Real Self and of illusory ego is basic to all Buddhadharma. When it is understood, clinging is easily broken off.
Before you people start confusing yourselves again, you need to understand exactly what "real self;" "Original Nature" is.
It is a confused person who says that real self is non existing and all pervading and it shows where your confusion lies.
You are getting confused between true self and true reality. You have to transcend samsara and nirvana to know true reality.
It would be better for you if you understand what "true self" is first then realise the true self.
Would appreciate if you can tell me what "true self" is.
