[b]Dear All,
Depth09's father has sadly passed away this afternoon.
Bohiruci has suggested that we do a cumulative recitation of the name of Amitaba Buddha for the next 5 days, and dedicate our total merit to her father, late Mr Chua Hang Oo on Thursay, 5th October 2006 at 7pm.
Let's show our support to our dharma sister and her family, and wish them well in overcoming this enormous obstacle.
Bohiruci did that for me already in his subsequent reply to this thread.Originally posted by sinweiy:forgot to mention, that u will also need to provide the real name of Depth09 and his/her father name so that the merit can be transfer more accurately to him.

Your kindness is very much appreciated! Namoamitoufo!
My father passed on peacefully.
The remains of his bones were pinkish in color and marks of jade green,
is this a good sign?
I read that within these 49 days, he will accumulate great merits when we transfer and do merits on his behalf?
Please advice any activities that i can take part in generating these merits for him?
Appreciate your kind advices!
Regards,
Shannen
I heard that bones that were coloured is a good sign, but I am not too sure about whether they are relics.. Yes within this 49 days it is crucial to accumulate merits and transfer to him. Also if possible get a venerable or someone to speak the dharma to your father. Very often your father's antarabhava, or consciousness/intermediate body is still residing around within the 49 day period. You can attend pujas (fa3 hui4) etc and dedicate merits to your father.Originally posted by depth09:Dear ALL CONCERNED,
