  happened to watch dis show on discovery ch 11 the other day.
  
  he escaped to new york, set up a martial skool n got married.
  
  thruout the show was runnin here n thr within the house, so din catch his or the program's name.
  
  anyone knws more abt him?

  and this forum is for discussion of Buddhist teachings

  He got married? But he still wear the monk's robe, and yeah, he set up school and is an inspiration to many, especially the delinquents

  it's not a movie.. it's real life...
  
  he ran away from the shaolin temple when they went on tour of the US...
  
  he still has the robes of a monk but teaches his own brand of buddhism

  discovery, geographic, animal, all same lah.
  
  u got catch the show oso? got showed he married got kids u no c dat part?
  
  i juz curious to knw y he wan escaped. his teechin & lifestyle is considered wat in mainstream buddhism. n hor... wat is his status to shaolin & china nw?
