[email protected]In this PUBLIC TALK and workshop, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche will teach on how to apply the principles of Shambhala, an ancient Buddhist enlightened society, to living in our world today. The Shambhala teachings show us how to bring the wisdom of the Buddhist tradition into our lives and to contribute to a good society.
During the MEDITATION WORKSHOP there will be further talks on Shambhala principles, meditation instruction, guided meditation, walking meditation and contemplation exercises lead by the Sakyong as well as a question and answer session.
“We all have the ability to rule our own world and live with confidence. To do this, we need to use our daily lives to be strong as opposed to aggressive, and act with wisdom and compassion. When we begin to mix this ancient wisdom of rulership into our secular life, we have success – both spiritually and worldly”.
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche bridges two worlds, East and West. Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche is the head of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage, spiritual director of Shambhala (a global network of meditation and retreat centers www.shambhala.org and the lineage holder of Naropa University in Boulder, the first Buddhist University in North America). He is author of Turning the Mind into an Ally and Ruling Your World. Born in India , raised in North America and educated in the traditional manner of a Rinpoche, he is the son of bestselling author and Buddhist pioneer Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
