Warning to all: Do not try to tackle ghostly spirit yourself

I would like to remind all Buddhist in the forum here
Do not attempt to tackle ghost spirit yourself in any method
as you are not realised practitioner , some of the vengeful and woeful spirit have the power to attack you before you even want to help him
Its best to consult a monk or rinpoche who are well-versed in chanting
Its just like a naughty child ,no kind of kind words will stop his behaviour only a slap will do
So to let the spirit learn and practise Buddhadharma,one must know how to "subdue" them rather than using metta meditation
especially to poltergeist

Actually metta meditation is fine because it is done with kind intentions and good will (Buddha did advise the monks to do metta meditation when the spirits disturbed, and it worked very well), but it is important that one does not try to 'exorcise' or 'tackle' the spirits which might anger the spirits or inflict more harm upon yourself.
If metta meditation doesn't work, or the spirit does not wish to leave, then it is advisable to get help from someone experienced -- like the venerables or rinpoches. -

i certainly do agree & comprehend with bohiruci and AEN.
It is always appropriate and wise to seek a highly enlightened venerable and master for help and guidance in matters like spirits.
One must have cultivated substantial stability in samadhi and calmness and also practiced and realised the teachings of emptiness to be able to assist any being in traumatic distress or whatsoever. The consequences is not to be underestimated if one has not practiced well enough. It can be dangerous. Wisdom and compassion is not easy to be applied together all the time. Take practice and practice.
I had a couple of situation when I felt very dizzy and almost felt like I was going to faint or mind running wild when encountered certain strange and very powerful evil forms. It's really no joke. As those around me who saw me told me that I literally looked pale and in daze. And I really didn't understand why that happened or what was going on. I don't wish to talk about it anymore.
Please do seek advice and guidance and also do learn and practice well the teachings of buddha. -

Ghost spirits must be living on something like we live on air
Something must have provide them with the energy to carry on existing on this world
Another one Every kind of species will have a leader or big boss so do anyone saw their BIG BOSS in this world yet?

For some, it's difficult to "invite" them out, because of their strong attachment, could be their family, house, some unfinished matters or even hatred towards someone, something. The magnititude to how reluctant they are to leave, is entirely on how deep their attachments are.
Example. You were staying in your own house, with loads of memories. Then one day, someone came to you and tell you to leave because he has bought the house without your knowledge, how would you feel?
I do know cases whereby the spirits were murdered, and they lingered in the house because they habour enormous hatred towards the one who killed them. The later occupants encountered loads of unexplained incidents, and a few could easy take their lives.
You may view it as a chat of superstition, but you gotta appreciate that Buddha don't talk about the 6 realm sentient beings for no reason. These spirits were just part of them. -
I not denying their existence. But ghosts are everywhere even in broad day-light. I feel there is no need to make a fuss over them if we encounter them...unless they cause disturbances in our livelihood, then perhaps we can invite venerables for blessings and transferring merits to these beings.

There's more than one way to destroy left-behind psychic remains.
Just that most people have no guts to do so for this other technique requires them to sacrifice their own spirit or souls to oblivion. -

Anyway whatever it is, it is certainly not recognised in Buddhism. -
