Camp Ehi-Passiko is back again this June.
Date is from 9th June to 12th June and will be hled at Camp Christine, Jalan Bahtera.

There is much room for improvement from us and we are eager to do better and more in Dhamma work among youths and we need the support.

Haha fret not.. there are more than 20 of us who are well above the legal age. I'm 22 already. You don't have to be a youth camper, can come help us with the management or be an organiser in the camp.
Yes, in fact the Buddha did said that "friendship is the whole of spiritual life". For the past 10 years I'm with this group, they were the ones who stand by me through various stages of my life.
And I reckon that a good factor in strengthning our Buddhist faith and let it not erode is to have such fellowship. From which the children grow up with and feel a sense of attachment to. I'm seeing good signs. Youth groups are springing up around the local Buddhist temples but to be too eager will be a wrong foot forward. -

BTW, I am faaarr too old to attend. To give you an indication for my age, I train around Jalan bahtera area in my army days when there was an atap coffee shop there! -

for those who do not understand the meaning of ehipassiko , it means come and see.
The quality of Dhamma is that it's inviting us to check it out. This is a very strong characteristic of the Buddha's teaching. There's no heavy-handed demand: "Believe this." The faith element doesn't have the same role as in some other religions. We're asked, we're invited,to examine the teachings to see whether they fit. This is also an expression of the confidence that the Buddha and arahants had in their Dhamma; they realized it for themselves and know that we can, too. -
