Yes , Only if everyone works hardOriginally posted by maggot:Why not try making this world into a Pureland?![]()
Yea.. why not. In fact that is the vow of my master, to create a pure land in this world, the favourable conditions in which Maitreya Bodhisattva shall come and attain BuddhahoodOriginally posted by maggot:Why not try making this world into a Pureland?![]()
Yes it requires a lot of lifetimes to gather the conditions... but the Buddha did made the promise if you practise the dharma, learn the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, and if you haven't attained nirvana before that, you will certainly attain enlightenment under the guidance of Maitreya Bodhisattva in the futureOriginally posted by maggot:Advise? Many people have tried it
Well in this world a lot of things are just not enough for everyone so they have to fight it out
Don't think Pureland will happen within my lifetime![]()
Actually pure land must not only be good... it must be pure.. only a mind that is clean of all defilements, that one is considered a pure mind. A pure land is generally a liberated and enlightened society, though it is true that the people at that time are very virtuous people (they are at the peak cycle of the human degeneration and regeneration cycles.. in which now we are currently at the degenerated phase). In the times of Maitreya Bodhisattva, the population is many many many times bigger than our current population... it is said in the sutras dunnu how many billions of people, and each city is extremely near the next city. And Maitreya Buddha at that time has a sangha of 9+ billion monks.Originally posted by maggot:On another hand there is this yin and yang theory which I find it very real
If there's really a Pureland in this world where are the bad?![]()
There must be a thing or whatever to balance the good
