There's a saying, that you need to do 10 rights to undo 1 wrong. Actually, it's good that you are repenting towards the wrong you are donig. That's one step. Repent towards the wrongs that you've done in this life, and previous lives.Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:Thanks Isis for the explaination.
I was selfish last time, I realize my mistake and do many good things to correct my mistake..
But why do I still feel the effects? How to I reduce the effect?
I agree with this statement "What you will reap is what you has sowed".
I feel that my present life is the effects of what I have done in the past.

Doing good doesn't contra off the bad that you have done, it merely dilute the effect. Don't be too harsh on yourself. Just continue to do good and repent towards the mistakes, the effect will soon go away.

Repentance is important but don't caught up by what happened. It's all just a part of the process of learning in life. You also have to try practising acceptance of things just as it is. The latest post by me on 'Dzogchen Practice in Everyday Life - His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche' in Daily Buddhist Verses may help..
We will inherit bad and good kamma as long as we are still in this samsara whether in thought, speech and actions.Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:Thanks Isis for the explaination.
