Diploma in Buddhism
Anyone above 17 yrs of age can enroll for the course.
Closing Date: 20 June 2007
Subjects:
1. Early Buddhism Basic Doctrines
2. Buddhist Social Dimensions
3. Geographical Expansion of Buddhism
4. Early history of Buddhistm up to 3rd Century B.C.
5. Pali (Elementary)
Duration of the course: One year
All subjects are taught in English by qualified n experienced teacher
Classes: Sundays (2pm - 5.15pm) n Tuesdays (7.30 - 9.30pm)
Successful candidates can proceed to Bachelor of Arts degree in Buddhist Studies
Exam : Aug 2008
Maintenance fee: S$240/= only
(Can be paid in 3 instalments)
Please submit the application with the following:
A) 2 passport-size photos
B) A copy of IC/Passport/Birth Certificate
C) USD52/= for registration with the Buddhist and Pali University, Sri Lanka.

it is always good to attend courses and enrich oneself.
There are so many ways to practice -- what some define as Real Practitioner is really just his preferred way of practice imposed on others. Nonetheless each Buddhist will eventually find his own specialization and pursuit it
Synergy of the Buddhist community is a requirement if Buddhism is to grow. -

Back to topic, I don't agree with the curriculum of the Diploma as it subscribes to a more narrow knowledge of Buddhism. -

Its your take for my practice .Its up to you to agree what I post .I have never force you to accept wot
Your ceaseless pursuit of denying Buddhism teaching and tearing down believers down to the last coin is futile .Repent or great problem in your life will arise (karmic fruition) .

Omniknight is right about your character in that you do not want any debate or non-buddhist views about your mistaken understanding. The more you force people to conform to your views by indoctrination, the more they will rebel. -

although i dont agree much with some of Bohiruci's version of buddhism, i can see that he is sincere, it is just that one can only exercise to the limits of his wisdom, much like a technology curve you learn in microeconomics, to break thru, one needs a quantum leap or a paradigm shift
in this aspect, maybe none of our interpretations is the right one beacause we are all limited by our "wisdom curves", remember the analogy used in some buddhist text - something about looking at the reflection of the moon in a pool of water and thinking it is actually the moon? -
