About Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche
Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche was born in Bhutan in 1961, and was recognized as the main incarnation of the Khyentse lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. He has studied with some of the greatest contemporary masters.
From a young age he has been active for the preservation of the Buddhist teaching, establishing centers of learning, supporting practitioners, publishing books and teaching all over the world. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche supervises his traditional seat of Dzongsar Monastery and its retreat centres in Eastern Tibet, as well as his new colleges in India and Bhutan. He also has established centres in Australia, North America and the Far East. -

The talk is nice, as Dzongsar is full of humour
He say when ppl address him as Living Buddha ,which is a cause of his indigestion (the whole hall laughs)
and the use of master like as in equivalent of kungfu master
Indeed he is very humble ,thats what a Buddhist teacher should possess
He use the most simple way of expressing compassion
relative compassion and ultimate compassion as we know it
ultimate compassion is a understanding of sunyata then the ultimate compassion is arise
he creates alot of laughter by saying Avalokiteshvara gone for sex change in china as a female .and Avalokiteshvara compassion is not bounded by a testicle .
He says Shantideva teaching of ultimate compassion is everyone is regarded as lunatic .which is true if one read on the Bodhicaryavatara ,which did mention abt it
Dzongsar rinpoche intention is to bring across a simple teaching of compassion and it will appeal ppl to Buddhism in his explanation ,as he met the latin america ,australian, American and European
the form of paying respect and invoking compassion is in Buddhism which I have mention to AEN before is still a good idea ,becos that is Human nature of looking upon and modelled after when compared to the Primitive Mahayana Buddhism in India which pay respect to a bodhi leaf
and yes, the Heart Sutra is so much beautifully said by Avalokiteshvara ,not forgetting the credit to Sakyamuni Buddha who entered samadhi to allow Sariputra to answer his curiosity of Avalokiteshvara
The content of all this Dzongsar rinpoche quoted can only be perfectly understood when one really takes time to read and contemplate and meditate upon
Compassion is so simply explained by Dzongsar Rinpoche , well for those who read the teachings , will have to agree how excellent Dzongsar rinpoche put the message across in a fan -cool Dharma hall, when everyone was sweating
