Imagine one of them is your sister, your wife, your daughter, your friend and your colleague... even though they are not Singaporeans and you are not a Christian... they are still human beings.
If you believe in prayers, I think you should pray for their safety because there is not much else you can do. If you can reasonably do something positive other than offer prayers, do that.
AFTER they have come home safely, then blast them... if they do not make it, offer you condolences.
Do not kick people while they are down. -
May the hostages have a supernatural peace and serenity in this time of terror in their lives beyond human understanding.

The Taleban delayed a threat to kill 23 South Korean hostages yesterday while increasing their demands for a prisoner swap. But President Karzai of Afghanistan is under pressure to refuse to release Taleban fighters in exchange for the Christian aid workers.
Mulavi Attiullah Luddin, a member of parliament from Nangarhar, said of a possible swap: “It will only encourage the Taleban to take hostages. It’s opening a market for all Taleban, criminals and al-Qaeda”.

All sentient beings are in this together... logical and scientific also because the whole universe works in relation to each and every object as a whole.... nothing in this universe exist inherently (scientific) and the fundamental particle that is the building block of the whole universe is *scientifically speaking", "strings".
Mind Blowing.
If you exist as a lonely individual or part of an organization...(Christian, Buddhist, Singaporean or whatever) it is not as good as if you exist as part of the Universe because that is the ULTIMATE REALITY. -

+I too think that these folks are stupid. but I don't think they deserved to be hostages.... just that in everything we do, we should count the cost, and going to such a place is just plain dumb - no like they are under some kind of United Nations protection or something... -

GHAZNI, Afghanistan (Reuters) - The Afghan government and Taliban rebels are hopeful of a peaceful outcome to free 23 South Korean hostages held by insurgents, the two sides said on Tuesday.
Force will not be used to free the hostages, a local governor said.

The Taliban have extended a deadline to 1430 GMT (3:30 p.m. British time) on Tuesday, after which they said they would start killing the hostages if South Korea did not agree to withdraw its 200 troops from Afghanistan and Kabul did not free Taliban prisoners. -

South Korea, Taliban continue negotiations for release of hostages

Seoul/Kabul - The war of nerves in negotiating the release of 23 South Koreans kidnapped in Afghanistan continues Tuesday with 'effective measures' being used, said a government official.
Seoul is working with the US and other countries, though details of the negotiations with the kidnappers were not released.
Among the demands by the Taliban was 100,000 dollars to speak by telephone with the hostages, an Afghan mediator told South Korean televison station KBS.
