Muhammadiyah urges Taliban to free South Korean hostageshttp://www.thejakartapost.com/detailgeneral.asp?fileid=20070806171313&irec=2
YOGYAKARTA (Antara):Indonesia's second largest Muslim organization Muhammadiyah has urged the Taliban in Afghanistan to release unconditionally the 21 South Koreans they have taken hostage.
"Whatever the reason for the hostage taking of the 21 South Korean nationals by Taliban fighters, the action cannot be justified," Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsuddin said Monday.
"We ask the world-famous Taliban fighters to immediately set the hostages free without any condition," Din Syamsuddin said, adding that the hostage taking was tarnishing the image of Muslims.
He said hostage-taking action was never tolerated in Muslim religious teachings.
Din Syamsuddin said Muhammadiyah had actually proposed that the South Korean government form a delegation of Muslim figures from Asia-Pacific countries to go to Afghanistan to overcome the problem.(***)

I see we are also hostages here! Hostage to our beliefs. Like I said before: we choose what we want to believe and then we hold on to the belief and let it breed, fester and grow inside us like a parasite. So, we are hosts to a parasite called BELIEF.

not believing is God is also a beliefOriginally posted by TheGoodEarth:Don't feel sorry for me. I have no BELIEF and therefore no parasite to host. Neither am I a hostage to any BELIEF system. I am FREE.

Buddhism is profound. I dare you to probe deeper.
With answer like this: not believing is also belief, how not to keep saying I am confused! I am a simple down-to-earth human, can't understand higher-order, near-heaven logic.Originally posted by Chin Eng:not believing is God is also a belief![]()
You also must not believe in science, hence can't understand higher-order quantum mechanics of reality. Get a grip and don't generalize.Originally posted by TheGoodEarth:With answer like this: not believing is also belief, how not to keep saying I am confused! If the whole universe is linked, then you should know when to shut up by now.Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:No need to do that... the whole universe is linked (EMPTY of INHERENT EXISTENCE)... you should learn some Buddhism.![]()
Not believing is belief. So, science is belief? Hmmm.... this generalisation is harder to grip than quantum reality.Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:You also must not believe in science, hence can't understand higher-order quantum mechanics of reality. Get a grip and don't generalize.

If the believe is based on countless factual experiments then it is not longer just a belief but a theory trying to describe reality.Originally posted by TheGoodEarth:Not believing is belief. So, science is belief? Hmmm.... this generalisation is harder to grip than quantum reality.
I understand. There is such a thing as conducting/doctoring experiments or even designing experiments to prove one's theory. Data and variables are skewed to support the experiments.Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:If the believe is based on countless factual experiments then it is not longer just a belief but a theory trying to describe reality.
