I am not debating on the intentions of these Koreans, just their lack of common sense and planning when they venture into a hostile territory where people do not play by the rules.
... would you do what these Koreans have done? and allow yourself to be paraded on international TV, to be used as a pawn in a political cause?

KANDAHAR: A South Korean delegation on Tuesday held “direct” talks via tribal elders with Taliban militants who are holding 23 Korean nationals, officials and the insurgent group said. Dozens of Taliban militants were killed in clashes with NATO and Afghan forces in various parts of the country.
The delegation led by the South Korean ambassador arrived on Tuesday in the southern province of Ghazni where the hostages are being held, following rebel demands for negotiations ahead of a sunset deadline.
“Yes, the South Korean delegation is in Ghazni. They’ve been in talks with the Taliban through the tribal chiefs,” said provincial police chief Alishah Ahmadzai, who was himself involved in the talks. A local governor said force would not be used against Taliban.

Hi,
Mother Theresea was not stupid because at least where she was working was not a war zone, and was a safe place.
However, i cannot speak the same for the Koreans, they have been termed "stupid" by their own people for making their families worry when they knew that Korea had a caution against travelling to Afghanistan. Now, not only do their families have to suffer from anguish, they have also been subject to anxiety because they do not know when or if their loved ones will be released or killed.
I will not pray for them but i hope the best for them. -

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan: A Taliban spokesman said the militant group on Wednesday killed one of 23 South Korean hostages held in
Afghanistan.
There was no official confirmation of the claim.
"We killed one of the Koreans today because the government is not being honest in talks," Taliban spokesman Yousuf Ahmadi told AFP by telephone from an unknown location.
Ahmadi offered no proof of the claim and it could not be independently verified.
His claims last week that a German hostage had been killed proved to be untrue. - AFP/yy -

please do not put words into my mouth ok, i deeply respect Mother Theresa, having come from a Catholic home.
However, i cannot condone the actions of the Koreans, because even though they may have gone to Afghanistan to go "volunteer" work, it is quite an open secret that they probably would have done missionary work as well, which as we know, is something taboo in Muslim countries. If that is not sheer stupidity, then i do not know what is. What's more you are talking about the Taliban, a group that does not know what is compassion, remember what happened in Afghanistan before they were toppled. -
