GoodOriginally posted by me_a_clone:she did not came back on her 7th day.. does it mean she no longer have clinging to her family and is comfortable? actually when we go 'pick' the bone up, we found something on her skull cap, and was inform by the person assisting us to 'pick' the bones those were 'se li hua'.. maybe my mum have reach a certain stage that she no longer cling on the this world....
You are being over sensitive over nuthing. I didn't say anything about the deceased. I merely commented on the very first post which made no mention of TS deceased mother.Originally posted by bohiruci:please be tactful .. the deceased is the forummer mum .show the forummer some tactness in sensitive issue .....![]()
If I'm not wrong, Relic Flower or Se Li Hua is an indication that your mother has attained a certain level of practise, which is good, and could means that she will be reborn in a higher realm, or the Pureland of Amitabha. Nevertheless, during these 49 days, do not stop your daily chanting. On top of that, do as much as possible to participate in fa hui, or pujas, and make offering in her name. It would be best, if the family can keep to vegetarian diet, and dedicate all merits to her. That will really help her in her path to her next part of the journey.Originally posted by me_a_clone:she did not came back on her 7th day.. does it mean she no longer have clinging to her family and is comfortable? actually when we go 'pick' the bone up, we found something on her skull cap, and was inform by the person assisting us to 'pick' the bones those were 'se li hua'.. maybe my mum have reach a certain stage that she no longer cling on the this world....

Don't know by 'him' if you are refering to me. Even if not, let say I am another poster replying to your post:Originally posted by path_seeker:no need to feel angry against his insensitive posting. dedicate your merits to him, and hope that he will be liberated from the 3 poisons.
ya that wad i was told too. by having the se li hua, my mum must have reach a certain lvl of enlightenment which i find it comfortable knowing tat. as high chance she need not suffer in hell..Originally posted by path_seeker:If I'm not wrong, Relic Flower or Se Li Hua is an indication that your mother has attained a certain level of practise, which is good, and could means that she will be reborn in a higher realm, or the Pureland of Amitabha. will be going over to thailand soon to donate medication/ coffin to the temple in her name.. as for diet wise i m sticking to more vegetable but not 100% vegetarian as i tried and get hungry very fast. i can understand the term fa hui.. but wad is pujas?Puja = fa hui
Please try to be more sensitive in your posting and use the right words.Originally posted by TheGoodEarth:I didn't get what you were trying to tell me ....... but nowadays, I sleep with the help of a fairy lover, not godmother.
I don't think he has such intentions.Originally posted by me_a_clone:look here mate. if u r here to give me some advice i will thank u from the bottom of my heart, but if u r here looking for a fight, not here not now.
Actually, I would think concentrating on one mantra would be better than chanting a number of mantra, like Om Mani Padme Hung, or Namo Ah Mi Tuo Fo.Originally posted by me_a_clone:errmm.. i do not know it this the same as u all de.. we are now actually using namo guan shi yin and some thai chanting to 'help' her.
for my mum, she most of the time spend at her ' fo tang ' at geylang there hence i believe they also got help her with the tibetian chanting also.
i guess for now. other then helping my mum by transfering merit, there is nothing i can do..
sometime when i look back these few days, sort of regret tat i did not fulfill 100% of wad a child should do.. she spend 2 mths at hospice before breathing her last. and i spend all my nite there coming home in the afternoon to bath, and every nite, i pray very hard, to di zhang wang, buddha, lord jesus. to take my mum with them and give her release. as she at that point of time is dependant on morphin.. now i wish i could have more time.
This is exactly one of the best you should do for your beloved mother. You are a filial son. Pls continue to do so every Ullambana Festivals too.Originally posted by me_a_clone:i guess for now. other then helping my mum by transfering merit, there is nothing i can do..
sorry.. which rule did i broke?Originally posted by An Eternal Now:Kindly remember our forum rules: http://buddhism.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=202797
ya man.. actually come to think of it. often we take things for granted.. only when things happen then we scramble to make things right. i have been spending these few days thinking of those stupid things i did to her when she was alive and find that it is B@stard for me to lose my temper on her.. i wish i could have the chance again, may it in dream or she come to me.. i wan to say 'sorry' to her.Originally posted by cycle:There is always not enough time for us children to repay our parent's loving kindness. You have shown filial compassion in your corcern of your mother's pain during her illness, I believe she have felt your concern. She certainly have been led on by Di Zhang Wang becos of your efforts in chanting.
thx isis.. i m chanting to help my mum.. and btw wad the meaning of ' the parents are the 2 buddha in the family'Originally posted by Isis:All this reminds of something.. that parents are the two buddha in the family.
By repaying kindness to parents is also generating alot of good merits.
And to TS, sorry to hear about ur mum..
I hope she has passed away to better realm.
