For those who have been courted aggressively by them .. maybe you want to visit the catholic church for a change.. of course it is at your free will no forcing.. to visit.. maybe you can admire the beauty of the architectaure of the design of the church.. the statues of our Lord Jesus.. Mother Mary and all the other saints.. Feel free to go.. esp Novena church. Many non catholics were mostly introduced to novena church and a result came to know Jesus thru the intercession of His Mother, Mother Mary.. a Mother to all of us.. catholics and non catholics alike..
Of course .. this is an invitation.. only.. Please no offense to anyone here.. Peace to all!!
God Bless .. all of you!
a Catholic..
Ok please tell that to some of my relatives who have been hounding me since 1990.My parents coverted to Catholics from a different faith before I was born so what is wrong if I didnt want to be one?
Actually, nothing is wrong! You are free to choose if you do not want to be. I myself converted out of catholicism/anglicanism (mum catholic, dad non-practicing anglican, relatives 90% either) even though my mum was very unpleased with it at that time. Actually, it also took one of her priests at church (a frenchman at that!) to convince her to let me convert out. Now, 15 years later, she's already acceptive. It just takes a longer time for some, especially relatives.
Saying that, did your parents not send you for infant baptism or sunday school at the parish church they attend? Or is it that you are unable to accept the teachings?
Haha, so "what" are you now?
You have muslim relatives? Was it due to one of your relatives marrying a muslim or converting to Islam? Just 'kaypoh' and interested to know.

But don't your mum need to covert to Islam before your dad is allowed to marry her? Also, so what is your own religious belief (if you have one)?
In Singapore, it is not necessary to convert to islam if you are marrying a muslim but most do, if not the partner will get ostracised by his/her family (clan). It's not illegal to convert out of islam in Singapore (there are quite a number of singaporean malay christians, but have not heard of any malay buddhists) and even Indonesia either, unlike in Malaysia where it's one way in, no way out.

sigh, malaysia. hopefully now that opposition takes over, lets hope for change
i came across some young ppl distributing flyers at East Coast beach to attend their church gathering and also as a goodwill gesture, from my pocket, I wanted to exchange with them a buddhist card...
They refused and avoided me immediately...but I am not trying to be funny, what's wrong is this exchange of our beliefs?
Well, many reasons, but i think to sum it up, could be either or all of the following:
1) They're not sure of their own belief, so they refuse to accept your card
2) It's idolatry and even "satanic" to even touch the card
3) They're just disrespectful to any other religion except their own, and refuse to have a nice courteous exchange, ie. "I can share/force my religion on you, but don't try to do the same to me!"
