  Wow! This Old Master Miao Fa at Mount Wu Tai, is i belief a real Buddha, bodhisattva. He can see right through a person and directly know what is the past/future karma of the person. just like what Buddha did, really amazing!
  
  you'll also learn from him, about vegetarianism in buddhadharma. and to know the karma of the past and future, you can just take a look at the present action.
  karma is somehow or rather, do not like what you do, yin guo si hao bu shuang.

  i find this story of "Repent", interesting and touching.
  this old man started cultivating buddhism and lead his entire family to practice buddhism. everything was improving until, her daughter was found to be dying of cancer. the old man ask Master MiaoFa what kind of karma did he done to have such an effect. Master MiaoFa scolded him that the old man had turn buddhism into a 'demonic' buddhism. he had use buddhism to set strict rules for his family. even scolded them for not obeying buddhism. what the old man did was seperating dharma of the worldly from buddhadharma, while they should be non-dual. his heart was full of resentment, and yet he did not notice any of it. "am i right?" said Master MiaoFa. "it's all true", the old man cried repentfully. the old man felt so sorry that he even wanted to die for her daughter. master said that his daughter will not die if he followed His instruction to save her.

  the above story also teaches buddhists not to be so dictatorial and bossy in the way they expound the Dharma to people. don't think you learn a lot already can impose one's will or opinions on others.
  the chinese expression called this "zhou huo lu mo"(extreme towards the demonic). this kind of karma can back fire to hurt one's family member.
