During the last nite msn with my buddhist fren ,I hit the nail upon an impt terms i have been trying to find in the explanation of Sutra by Tientai
That is the term abstraction
indeed tientai places emphasis on the abstraction of Buddha teachings to
allow grouping and classification of teachings of Sakyamuni
Without abstraction , one might found reading the tripitaka a daunting task
