Several months back i posted on the Twisted Emotion ,now i will continue on this post to open many forummer that homosexuality must be understood ,resolved (if possible) and not being frown upon and openly into hurting of human lives .
Our world is interdependent on each other , the one we righteous hurt and maimed in life ,will come back again in future life as colleagues and even family member ,that will continue cycles of suffering by seeding the first enmity in our past lives
Throughout our many lifetime in love relationship , our past affinity with many partners have resurfaced and they appear as opposite sex or as the same sexes .
Our carnal desires is the root cause of this .In Buddhism ,we do not condemn homosexual people or those with homosexual tendency ,as We are not judge upon .
The law of cause and effect is universal and have no discrimination towards anyone .
Though homosexual feeling for someone is hard to root ,there are ways to overcome it
1.understand the source (the person one feel attacted to )
2.deep understanding and by understanding the truth of our many rebirth since as human beings
3.Wishing the other person well and happy
4.let go and pursue higher spiritual living in life
This is a more positive solution than suppressing of thoughts ,which will erupt when the mind cannot take it ,and harms other fellow human beings happiness causing lifetime regret and remorse
The ancient indian society is a good example of such complicated issue .the issue of transvestite in a certain religion , Worship of Masculine Deities and demigod .
As a Buddhist and I do not feel the action to condemn homosexual behaviour
as we are living in this planet earth .Encompassing other is better than discrimination of other ppl
My stand towards homosexual people is everyone is born equal ,but of different family background (cold father -son relationship ,broken families ,incessant family quarrels) if we willing to work hard to overcome emotional difficulties ,we find that is a passing phase .
Of course , Homosexual people can choose their lifestyle , and even if they wont we do not judge them upon because our normal love for the other partner is also a result of many lifetime of
1.engaging in carnal desire
2.wish for procreation, or
3.possession of opposite sex
becos discrimination is the "dirt" in our mind , whether we like it or not

I have long wanted to express my views on this topic myself from a Buddhist perspective. Perhaps when I have done more research on it and get to understand more about buddhist teachings, I would post it down here.
One thing that we should all understand is, based on my limited understanding, homosexual people are very much different from what we call sexual perverts or psychopaths. They need love and can give love too.
I also share the same views in that hetereosexual people have the same needs as homosexual people too, as listed by bohiruci:
1. engaging in carnal desire
2. wish for procreation, or
3. possession of opposite sex.
However I wish to add another one: Need for true love from a life partner or any type of relationship.
In any kind of romantic relationship, emotional commitment is very important. If homosexuals practise casual sex or adultery (if marriage for them is legalised in SG), the consequences will be the same as that of heterosexuals.
God or no God, it is no good to go against nature. Example; China using the rivers waters to 水北掉,and the Three Gouges Dam project, it had a lot of enviromental effects like floodings, erosion and other unimaginable problems etc..
In the beginning, Adam is lonely, someone created Eve. Male and female, period. Now another group wants male n male, female n female, and someone gives them or created Aids...another classic case of going against nature and cause & effect ![]()
