What happened when one committed suicide and died

  alot of pple committed suicide for their various own reasons. what happened when one committed suicide and died? heard from an audio tape that a monk from taiwan said, if one committed suicide, every life have to commit suicide as the seed was sown. I also understand that one will be reborn as a ghost. Is there any truth is this?

  Also heard or watch movies that pple who died from accidents, like car accident, will become ghost, with blood streaming down. Is there any truth in this?

  Im not sure but i know that commiting suicide is way bad karma. All religion forbid commiting suicide. But i personally believe they will be reborn as ghost or become hell beings.

  Can only say there is a tendency for that person to commit suicide in his/her next life ... there is no such thing as "every life have to commit suicide". His/her future is dependently originated (i.e. dependent on conditions).

  Theravada POV, rebirth is determined by rebirth-relinking consciousness upon dissolution of the current life. It means, the state of mind upon death is important as it will determine the next destiny as we all have our almost infinite stores of Akusala (bad/unwholesome) kamma, all competing to enter the mind-door at death. Unfortunate people who commits suicide (mostly) are in bad state of mind, maybe too distraught with loss, grief-stricken, extremely depressed or in anger. These unwholesome state of mind, will most likely enter the mind door upon death and invokes the dying consciousness, hence rebirth-linking consciousness. However, not necessarily they will appear at woeful places, as appearance in such places need also the supportive kamma. It's best we don't speculate too much on people who die committing suicide, but to pass our merits to them when we perform dana or other meritocarious deeds. It's a good blessing to be able to pass away peacefully, as our state of mind will most likely be wholesome, therefore increasing the chances for rebirth in good places.

  Suicide might be able to solve a temporary problem if you take into account the infinite beginningless Samsara. Rebirth, suffering, dying, will not be solved by committing suicide as the cycle continues. It's just a waste of opportunity ,that's all, as rebirth as a human during Buddha's dispensation is extremely rare.

  Second that.

  My Taiwanese Teacher cld see ppl's past lives and know that those who committed suicide before will have a tendency to contemplate suicide again when faced with challenges/difficulties. If that person commits suicide again, then the seed will be strengthened and carry on to the next life. He also know people with very deep line on the neck who died from hanging (suicide) in their past lives.

  Challenges and difficulties in life are never ending. Everything is impermanent -- having wealth, pleasure, relations, material things and so on are impermanent, NOT having wealth, material things and so on are also impermanent.

  True wealth is finding liberation and bliss at every moment, regardless of circumstances i.e. whether you are a beggar or a king. Only through dharma is this possible.

  If one committed suicide for some problems in his/her life, what chances will he/she commit suicide again in next life if face with the same situation? I believe that committing sucide is not a natural thing to do to pass away, as human life is both precious and rare. Buddha said rare indeed, is to become a human, even rarer when one become a human during the lifetime of the Buddha.
