hello :)
i am wondering if there are any ex-christian turn buddhist here :)
would you like to share with me your experience ?
thanks :)
hello, I am an ex christian but not sure if I am a buddhist.
I am also a ex christian(not baptised)
just taken refuge under the triple gems
in my head, its like a mental struggle between the buddhism and christianity
last time i didn't do good when i was a christian
now knowing and believing buddhism, i am trying to change for the better
although sometimes i will like think of things i did when i was a christian(like saying thank God)(Although Buddhism does not have a God)
Like a shadow behind me.
hello forrest gump .
can you tell me more about your mental struglle between Buddhism and Christianity? cause i dont seem to quite get it.
thanks :)
Hi Enso, are you an ex christian too? Why don't you share your experience with us.
i think its okay bah..

No, Buddha is not a god.
In one story, soon after his enlightenment, the Buddha passed a man on the road who was struck by the Buddha's extraordinary radiance and peaceful presence.
The man stopped and asked, "My friend, what are you? Are you a celestial being or a god?" "No," said the Buddha. "Well, then, are you some kind of magician or wizard?" Again the Buddha answered, "No." "Are you a man?" "No." "Well, my friend, then what are you?" The Buddha replied, ''I am awake.''
The Buddha taught humans to seek this state of being awake within themselves. ''Be a lamp unto yourselves,'' he said.

you must tell what is god first, then people can answer your questions.
For christian, god is a creator. For buddhism god are beings living in heaven.
and Jesus wasnt a God until some years after his death.
Just to add to the topic since I have seen so many redundant replies:
Any ex-human here?

Jesus is God. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three in one, Holy Trinity.

So are you free thinker now?

When people choose not to believe in logic but believe in nonsense, I would consider them as ex-human.

Sort of. I don't wish to be committed to any religious belief. I visit temples but I don't consider myself buddhist.
Could I ask you a question on buddhism?

to each his own. I have no qualms about it. everyone has freedom to choose what he wants to believe or not believe.

can buddhism or thai buddhism help to reveal about one's past life and whether are there unclean spirits in one's life to cause problems, obstacles?

This one not necessarily need to seek Buddhism, some mediums etc are also able to do this.
However it would be advisible to seek the advise from a wise Buddhist venerable on this if you suspect anything.
If you practice the dharma well, it's unlikely you will have spirit interference.
