Hi guys.
Does anyone know where I can get Medicine Buddha Mantra water in temple?
Thanks
Soneone sick ?
Originally posted by nitromax:Such medicine Buddha mantra water can be used as a mean to encourage a sick person to recieve the blessings from the Buddha, However if someone is sick, seek professional help from doctorsd and recieve proper treatment to depend on just a bottle of water which is supposely to be some magic water after being chanted with some sanskrit terms to cure one’s sickness is pure supersition.
So when one takes the blessed water, one must know that this is an encouragement and not a cure. Mantras becomes useless when we mystify it.
I agree wat nitromax say .. ... most of the time if cure is within reach ..visit a doc first
dun go to seek mantra water ..
only when its 4th stage cancer .. cant do much then mantra water comes into use
however i would like to know nitromax tradition ... which school u follow .. u also skeptical of the Power of Mantra ?

Skeptical of nonsense more likely.
i know tampines area on street got many temples that side one of the temple have the Medicine Buddha Mantra water but then is a blessing water only.
Important is the patient need to have correct medical attention from doctors.
Blessing water is just a hope is not a cure.
Why ppl said drink mantra water make them well, cos after they drink mentally they tell themselves they will get well.
Plus they do take their medicine regulars ==> Stronge mind + medicine = physically they able to build more good antibodies to fight against the illness.
That why doctor always tell patients be happy and think positive.
Same logic
I don't believe that mantra water would works magic or wonder. Based on my grounding in Buddhism, there is no Dharma basis for such belief which are merely another manifestation of our superstitious mindset, influenced by folk beliefs.
However, this does not mean that Buddhism has nothing spiritual to offer as help to tide one through a health crisis. A person can apply buddhist meditation techniques, mindfulness and the principles of Buddhism to suvive the ordeal of a health crisis. The are numerous clinical research data that demostrate the meditation can works "magic" in managing several illness, including cancer.
It is important for one to understand the "spiritual" does not means something magical that cannot be understood or known. The key is to apply Buddhism in the right way based on the right mentality grounded in the right views.
When a person practises buddhist meditation techniques, mindfulness and actualises the principles of Buddhism in the face of a health crisis, the Medicine Buddha is with you. It is by this way that the Medicine Buddha can help you.
I believe in the power of Mantra in meditation to aid one in realising the ultimate reality, BUT not in the sense that mantra can produce miraculous magic.
