Losar, the beginning of the Tibetan New Year, occurs on Feb 25th this year. The first fifteen days of the New Year are extremely important as it was during this time that Shakyamuni Buddha displayed a different miracle each day for fifteen days and defeated the leaders of India's six main philosophical schools. Upon seeing the miracles, many beings were inspired, developed deep faith in the Buddha and were led onto the path to enlightenment.
During these 15 days (25 Feb to 11 March), all of our positive actions are multiplied many times.
For everyone's info.
These miracle days to me is also like examination for a student.
After studying hard for hundreds of days, they will be ready to benefit from these miracle days. Their mind will be in virtous condition, so whatever they do, their good karma always multiply.
If someone don't even practice the dharma during normal days, when it comes to these miracle days, they only think about getting more good karma for themselves. so without a selfless attitude, the merit they get will be very much lower than the other type.
